Blind Expectations by Jacinta Howard

I've always wanted to fall in love with my best friend.

I’ve always wanted to fall in love with my bestfriend. That guy friend who knows you completely and you’ve never had to impress. The guy who knows your secrets and accepts you as you are. The guy who loves you for real for real. Ugh. I don’t have a guy bestfriend unfortunately. But if I did, I’d want to fall in love with my bestfriend.

But what happens when you do fall in love? When you find a way to be together? This story is what happens after. I. Loved. This. Story. It was for real for real life. It was what really happens when people fall in love and you’re together and what reckless, passionate, dedicated love looks like.

The story is about Leah and Trevor. Best friends who become lovers. Trevor is a music writer and Leah is an artist. Friends for two years, until Trevor makes a move. And then the journey for love and understanding begins.

The reason I really love this story is because Trevor really really loves Leah. Who doesn’t want to be love like this? Passionately and completely? Like duh!! He feels everything about her, the highs and lows, and earnestly wants the best for her. And Leah loves him like I think I’d love someone. She loves with trepidation. She cautiously gives herself to him, unlike the way he wholeheartedly loves her. But it’s still love. I was addicted to them and their love story. And I wanted more because reading passionate, real, pure love is the best!!
