Bad Boys Do It Better 3 by Porscha Sterling

There’s something about these characters that has me obsessed! I don’t even remember what it was that first drew me to this series, but after the first book, I was hooked. Here is Book 3 of the Bad Boys Do It Better: In Love with an Outlaw by Porsha Sterling. When the book was announced, it was supposed to come one day and didn’t come out until the next!! (Amazon be playing games!) I kept checking the whole day to see if it was posted! And when it finally was, I dove in!! This book continues the story of Janelle and Outlaw (and co.), which is basically a story of a good girl who falls in love with a bad boy.

As shared before, Janelle is a lawyer in the district attorney’s office. She’s also the daughter of a very famous and well respected lawyer, who she wants to be just like. His name carries weight and she’s driven to make her own stamp in the legal field. Luke aka Outlaw, is the youngest of a band of brothers of thieves. They are crafty and ruthless. But being on the other side of the law doesn’t mean that they don’t have their own power. And despite the fact that Luke is the youngest, he’s still the most ruthless. (Check my previous reviews of the series!)

Part two ended with Janelle choosing Luke over her father. Confronted with the hard choice of choosing the life she’s thinks she’s always wanted and the opportunity for true love in front of her, she had to make a decision for her. She was risking it all–family, career–to be with Luke, she knew that she had to follow her heart. She just couldn’t help it. She was deeply in love with him and after his public proclamation of his love for her, she knew that he was the one.

In book three we see what happened to Janelle and Luke, and all of the characters involved. Janelle and Luke have to figure out how to balance out their relationship with the rest of their lives. Yes, Janelle choose Luke, but that didn’t mean she gave up everything to be with him. It meant she was choosing him. But now she has to figure out how she keep everything she wants. But one thing we all know about Luke, he plays no games. He’s about keeping everything 100. So as you can imagine, he’s not about the sneaking around or secrets. He could care less about what people think about him. But he doesn’t always get that Janelle isn’t like that. She cares very much. And her career depends much on public perception. They are always at a crossroads.

All of Luke’s brothers and Janelle’s sister Carmella have their own personal struggles and issues in this book. The one with the biggest problem is probably Carmella. She’s always indulged in the Coco but now its having drastic effects on her life and her relationship. She thinks she can kick the habit, but don’t all addicts?

This is truly one of my favorite urban romance series. Thankfully their’s a book 4 coming out, and Porscha Sterling has said it is the last. I’m happy that its coming to an end but sad all the same. I always want more, but if you know me, I get addicted!! So I don’t mind when authors put me out my miserly!

Read this series y’all. I know for some of you “Urban Romance” may be out of your realm of comfort, but at the end of the day, excellent story telling is just excellent story telling, period.
